Description Of The Book
Following heartbreak, Rosy has rebuilt her life in the beautiful Cornish village of Penmenna.
Now, headmistress of the local school, she is living by The Rule: no dating anyone in the village. Easy right? But Rosy Winter has a new neighbour, handsome gardener Matt.
In Penmenna for his new gardening TV show, this guy next door will do everything he can to persuade her to break her rule and win her heart. Meanwhile, Penmenna Village School is threatened with closure and it’s up to Rosy to rally the local community and #SaveOurSchool. Can she bring her worlds together and accept help from the most unlikely of sources? One thing’s for sure… she won’t be giving up without a fight.

My Thoughts
Rosy Winter has only one strict rule in her life, don't mix love with friends or work, never ever! The only problem is that when her handsome neighbour moves to the house next to her, she starts feeling butterflies on her tummy and can not stop thinking about him... She will have to decide what's more important the heart or the conscience, who would win?

"Great, she had gone from mute to overly aggressive. No, no she hadn't. She'd stood her ground. Her shoulders rose and confident - sort of - smile returned to her face, the blushing gone.
'Of course, I'll go and get it done now, right now,' he teased. 'It's just there's something magical about this place, isn't there? Calming. It's as if the sea breeze, and the history...' He waved his arm at the cottages and widened its scope to take in the picture that lay before them: the houses almost layered on top of each other, the narrowness of the streets and their downwards tilt towards the sea. '... they seem to slow everything down.'"

This had been a romantic and funny read, but don't underrate this story, it has a love story, yes, but it also talks about serious themes that concern all readers, making it an addictive read.
Rosy is a loving woman but she is a fighter too, she had the sad news that her school will be closed but she is not ready to leave without a fight. Lucky for her, the Penmenna community will help her to. Even the handsome neighbour will try to help them, but Rosy is not ready to accept Matt's help, so she will have to decide what's more important for her; the school or her fears...
Matt seems a very nice guy, sweet and a hard worker; he is a great gardener and soon a tv star, but he has a very special sister; egocentric, diva, jealous... Matt knows how to treat her, the only problem is that it seems that he is the only one who tolerates her behaviour, maybe is time that someone tells her the truth.
I have to say that I loved the main story of the book; but I felt like the other characters had so many interesting stories and some secrets to share with the reader that I hope we will see more about Penmenna in the next book of Kitty Wilson!
Be prepared for a heartwarming read, full of interesting characters and a sweet love story.
Ready for a trip to Penmenna?

About The Author
Kitty Wilson has lived in Cornwall for the last twenty-five years having been dragged there, against her will, as a stroppy teen. She is now remarkably grateful to her parents for their foresight and wisdom - and that her own children aren’t as hideous. She spends most of her time welded to the keyboard or hiding out at the beach and has a penchant for very loud music, equally loud dresses and romantic heroines who speak their mind.
