The Man Who Died by Antti Tuomainen
Genre: Mystery, Crime
Source: Orenda Books
Jackoo has discovered that he just have a few days to live, weeks at most. But he is not ready to leave this world without knowing who killed him; and of course the first suspects are his wife and her lover....!
"'A snapped bolete?' I enquire.
Tomi nods his enormous head.
'I don't know what that means, but if I do find a porcini sliced in two on my pillow, I'll think of you.'"
This book has been an amazing read, with dark humour, a murder and some very interesting twists, a must read.
When I started reading this book I didn't expect to be so fascinated by it, the irony of the situation, the ambiguity of the characters and the mushroom business make this book really original, funny and one of the best reads of this year.
Jackoo knows that he could die in any moment, but wants to leave his business in good hands and his killers in prison, he will investigate every possible suspect... but is he ready to kill to get away with it? Of course you will have to read the book if you want to know the answer!
Do you like mushrooms?
