Genre: Cozy Mystery
Laurie and Aaron met in a colony for writers. Their mutual attraction is quick but they don't have anything in common... Can a romance writer and a fiction writer fall in love? You will just have to read!
"'It's simply another way of saying, 'this essay isn't worth the paper it's written on,' but that would be cliché. As I've said several times in this class, clichés are the enemies of good writing.'
Her previously benign features turned cross. 'You think I wasted paper writing my essay?'
'Yes. But, happily for you, paper is plentiful.'"
I have to say this is my first Karin Gillespie book, but I am not disappointed, it has touches of humour and a lot of romance!
Laurie and Aaron are the two writer stereotypes we always think of, Aaron a man who doesn't respect romance literary at all, fiction doesn't need a happy ending. On the other side, Laurie always dreams about love and can't think of anything else than a happy and romantic ending. Their dialogue is fresh and funny, and makes you re-think about the publishing industry and their prejudices against the romance books. You will always find a book that you will not like, but it will not depend on the genre or who wrote it, it will depend on your tastes and emotions while you are reading it!
This is a sweet book, you will read it fast and it will leave you with a good mouth taste; it will be worth a read! There's always good reading something with a happy ending and no murders on it, don't you think?
If you love dogs, good dialogues and a good romance, enjoy Love Literary Style! ;)
