The Thin Gold Line: Cinematic Collection is a series of four beautiful ultra minimalist posters printed in Italy aiming to explore a new artistic concept through movie's archetypes.
Each poster of this Collection reveals the traces iconic movies left on the collective unconscious by illustrating their essential form though respecting aesthetic and philosophical criteria. The golden line is the synthesis of the most minimal and artistic shape with the highest possible recognizability, making it the symbol that best conveys the core of a movie.
The project is all about expressing the contrast between light and dark, and in doing so The Thin Gold Line is also a technical achievement: the posters being the largest and shiniest real hot gold foil stamping realization to date, printed on the blackest paper in the world.
