Adine Donati seems to be a magnet for problems to her and all her friends, this time the lucky ones are her neighbour Elena and her boyfriend Rafael. The question you have to ask is, has Rafael killed his cousin Tony?
"'Anyway, there's still a lot we don't know about Tony's death. I'm trying to keep an open mind. I'm not convinced that Rafael killed Tony, but try to look at it from my point of view. Rafael is tied to two dead bodies in the same week. We have yet to determine whether or not there is any other connection between Tony and the man Rafael killed in the alley.'"
I liked the brave and easy Adina, she always tries to help everyone and is loyal to her friends. Not all the feminine characters can be so human and touchable, Cassidy Salem had done a great job creating a good heroine and with beliefs and moral.
I have to say the case is quite interesting, there are a lot of questions and half lies, but don't know for sure who's involved in the mystery!
I am not a religious person, that's why I don't like very much when one of the characters of a book explains her religion and habits, in this case Jewish. I can understand that being Jewish is something that Jonathan and Adina share in their life and will make them more compatibles, but maybe for me it was too much...
I enjoyed the thoughts of Adina's love life, she seems in an impasse, who will she choose to spend her evenings? With the handsome Bruce but that has some quite strong opinions or Jonathan, the attractive detective, who wants to protect her? Maybe we will have a winner, but in the paths of love you never know! (But I am team Jonathan!)
This book is entertaining and funny, if you like mystery and a little of romance you will devour it. So if you want to know more about Adina Donati in the Accidental Sleuth Book you will know how everything started!
How well do you know your family?
